It's been a few weeks since any film news of "Fifty Shades of Grey" has been released—rumors were swirling about Angelina Jolie's involvement—but the film adaptation of the erotic bestseller has finally found its producers.

Universal announced Michael DeLuca and Dana Brunetti will bring the S&M relationship of billionaire Christian Grey and college graduate Ana Steele to life.

From the press release:

De Luca and Brunetti will produce the film based on E L James’ #1 Bestselling book alongside James. The announcement was made by Universal Pictures Co-Chairman, Donna Langley and Focus Features’ Chief Executive Officer, James Schamus.

“I am thrilled that Mike has joined Team Fifty,” said E L James. “He brings a passion for and in-depth understanding of the characters and story, and a wealth of experience in making quality films.”

Previously, Brunetti and DeLuca worked together on both "The Social Network" and the upcoming "Captain Phillips" featuring Tom Hanks.

No word on a director, writer, or casting news yet. Though, we've done our share of speculating on the cast here (and here).

Universal went up against ten other studios to acquire rights to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy for $5 million

The book has sold 31 million 3-book and print copies of the trilogy worldwide.
